The staff at Baytree really get into the mood of entertaining customers and rasing cash for charity too
Baytree Garden Centre in Spalding held it’s third annual Clothes Show on Thursday 11th September and in doing so raised over £1,000 for Cancer Research, taking the overall total raised for Cancer Research by the family owned business to a massive £175,000.
Over 25 members of staff, including the Company Accountant, Barry Phillips, now also known as director of choreography, took to the stage to model Baytrees extensive range of clothing in an hour-long extravaganza that this year also featured local dancers and musicians.
Director Nigel Wallis told GTNOnline: “We sold 260 tickets this year, although we originally planned to sell only 200 tickets, such was demand.”
This year the team set up an extra clothing department behind the audience area so that sales could be maximised. Over £1,200 was taken through the tills in the hour after the show on a 10% discount offer, and with the displays left out all weekend before clearing for Christmas takings were up then as well.
