A Langlands mailshot brought over 900 people to the Yorkshire garden centre on a cold October evening, taking £8000 through the tills in just two hours.
Customers were tempted with the offer of a 10% discount, and were welcomed by Santa’s Helpers at the door, ensuring that anyone not already on the mailing list was very quickly added.
A strolling jazz band provided music, and in the plantarea a busy ‘market’ of local suppliers gave information and tastings of their products.
The staff (including James & Ian) all entered into the spirit by dressing as elves!
